Why would you choose us?

Yiragacheffe Cooperatives union is traceable and NOT a briefcase company. We are honest and transparent. When all this is pulled together, definitely there is non out there that can compare to us.

Coffee and Culture.

Coffee holds a special place in the Ethiopian culture. It totally differs from other coffee producing countries which simply take it for a cash crop. With us, the biggest portion of the crop does not.

Why our Coffee is Unique.

Ethiopian Coffee is among the world's most unusual, offering a range of flavors from wine tastes to fruit flavours. Ethiopian Yirgacheffee is soft, with floral tones and is one of the best choices for iced coffee

Our Products | Washed and Naturals

While most of our Yirgacheffe coffees are washed, we also have some outstanding Yirgacheffe naturals to offer. We follow best practices in both processing methods and make sure all our producers have the required skills and information.

Timothy Hill – Atlantic Specialty Coffee, USA

“From day one of talking with the Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union, I knew they were a different kind of organization. In all my time in Ethiopia I have not encountered another cooperative as dedicated to quality or tackling hard questions or issues. YCFCU has pushed for quality initiatives at every turn, and been willing to take smart risks for the sake of producing the best coffee in the country."
